Topic: Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Greene County
Program: "Revolutionary War Veterans Buried in Greene County, Ohio" There are more than sixty veterans of the Revolutionary War buried in cemeteries across Greene County. Learn about their service in the fight for freedom, their lives as they found their way to the Ohio frontier, and their final resting places 250 years after the Declaration of Independence.
Presenter: David Distelhorst is the Local History Manager of the Greene County Room at Greene County Public Library in Xenia, Ohio. He brings his experience as a Local History and Genealogy Librarian in Columbus and Massillon, Ohio, and prior to attaining his Master of Library and Information Science, as a newspaper photographer covering news across the state. Since arriving in Xenia, Distelhorst has worked with his staff to curate a collection with a greater focus on and offered access to Greene County’s history, while growing the library’s digital collections.
